Project Lead the Way (PLTW) 

Welcome to our Project Lead the Way Course, Green Architecture and Design & Modeling.. I am so excited to be teaching this class, where students are encouraged to use their imaginations, as they walk through the design process to find solutions for real world problems. This is a project based class, where students are given tools, equipment and software to utilize, same as professionals. Students also develop soft skills for employment, and explore career opportunities they could prepare for in high school. 

Design & Modeling  

This class is our first semester course, and geared towards showing students the Design Process of generating concepts, craft prototypes, test their theory and produce a product. Students work with professional tools, software and 3D printers to create their models. During these projects we take time to explore careers and the soft skills required in the workplace.  

Green Architecture  

Our second semester focuses on the Green Building Industry. Students are educated about sustainable materials, terminology and environmental processes used in the architectural and building trades. With climate change becoming more of an issue, students learn about consumer consumption and the threat it poses. This is a growing and evolving industry, and our students explore and work with cutting edge concepts and software to develop their own architectural designs.
